How did “Double Tap Data” get its name? It refers to encrypting the data not once- but twice. The first layer of encryption is the data at rest on the server, the second is the encryption key the customer has for accessing their data. After all if something is worth doing once, it has to be better if done twice!
Company History
Double Tap Data was founded by industry professionals with a combined 50 years of experience in Information Security and Operational Security in data centers across the globe. After recognizing the ongoing erosion of privacy for stored data on the Internet our team decided to create a service that a) uses open source software b) uses military grade encryption and c) focuses on keeping data secure from bad actors.
